About Us

Members of the Pine Run Volunteer Fire Department serve residents and citizens driving through New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.  The Pine Run Volunteer Fire Department strives to provide the most up to date rescue, fire suppression, and emergency medical services by using such core values as courtesy, leadership, duty, courage, and professionalism. The Pine Run Volunteer Fire Department has responded in the past to assist Freedom Borough, Economy Borough, Conway Borough, The City of Aliquippa, The City of Beaver Falls, Rochester Township, Daugherty Township and North Sewickley Township with various calls.   

 

The Pine Run Volunteer Fire Department was chartered in July 1947 and began actual firefighting services in 1948.

 

Also there are specially trained medical personnel within the department that respond along with various ambulance services in Beaver and Butler Counties to medical calls.  This medical service is called the Quick Response Service (QRS).  Currently the department has six Emergency Medical Technicians.  These six personnel assist with serious medical emergencies that require the utmost level of care. If you call for an ambulance you very well may see one of our QRS members answering the call, typically arriving before the ambulance and doing a basic assessment so the ambulance knows what to expect prior to their arrival. Many of our QRS members either currently work for an ambulance company, or have worked for one in the past. 

 

The ambulance services that routinely respond to emergencies in New Sewickley Township are Economy Ambulance Service, Medic Rescue, Harmony Township EMS and Cranberry Township EMS. Members of the Pine Run Volunteer Fire Department also have a working relationship with STAT Medivac Air Ambulance Service. 

 

The Pine Run Volunteer Fire Department also has many training requirements that all members must meet some special certifications members have are; ten state certified vehicle rescue technicians, two state certified rope rescue technicians, one nationally certified Haz-Mat technician , three state certified special vehicle rescue technicians, along with many other certifications that include Medical Response to Terriorism, Avalanche Response, and much more.
